This was not only a great recognition of all the hard work that the staff put in, but more importantly a recognition of the success the students have post training.

David Cameron Visits New Career Skills

On Friday 5th February 2010 New Career Skills thrilled to have David Cameron visit their Southampton Training Centre. Mr Cameron was shown the state of the art electrical, plumbing and green energy training bays, as well as having the opportunity to meet current NCS students.

A number of NCS graduates also attended on the day and Mr Cameron was fascinated to learn about how they are getting on with their new businesses. The NCS CEO, Steven Wines commented that after hearing of the great success NCS graduates were having Mr Cameron joked “If things didn’t work out for him in the election he’d consider training with us.”

Below is a brief video of Mr Cameron’s visit.

Career Changer Beware Of Scams & Complaints So Make Sure You Check Reviews First!

Unfortunately due to the current economic climate the training industry is seeing the demise of a number of training providers – leaving students stranded. It is a pretty dismal situation if you have made a financial contribution towards your training and the provider goes bust.

In light of what is happening in the industry at the moment (January 2010) NCS are warning potential career changers to proceed with caution. NCS have also setup a special ‘Rescue Package’ for those that have been left without training – If you have been effected by the closure of your training provider please contact New Career Skills to see how they can help.
